Prayer is the soul of man talking to God. It is the most standard and acceptable way of entering into spiritual realm.
Jesus understood the real construction of man and he said that man ought to pray and not to faint ( luke 18 vs 1). Prayer moves the land that moves the world. The only instrument that change the face of every work that is done on earth is prayer . Take time to pray for it is the greatest power on earth.
The store house of heaven are continually overflowing with bounteous blessing and benefits much more than anyone can ever imagine or exhaust. All that we need for happiness in life and in eternity are available in inestimable quantity. This is believable because heaven is the abode of God, the soul creator and controller of the universe and everything that makes it habitable and enjoyable. The secret of unlocking heaven where wealth abound is prayer.
The place of prayer can never be overlooked since no other activity can get the attention and favour of heaven. For example, Jabez wouldn't have achieved anything if he had not prayed to God who turned his life around for better and enlarged his coast. Prayer draws the hand of God, and when the hand of God is up on a small thing, it becomes big.
Prayer is an immeasurable privileged granted to mortal men to commune with the immortal God. Prayer is talking to God, pouring out our heart desire to him in recognition of his power and might to intervene favourably in our situation.
TYPES OF PRAYER
A. ADORATION / PRAISE : IT is the act of worshipping God declaring his majesty, power and glory, recognising that he is sovereign creator and merciful redeemer and praising him for his incomparable attributes ( psalm 103:1-5)
B. THANKSGIVING : IT is the act of appreciating God and giving him thanks for every thing in our lives. We are commanded to give thanks to God in all circumstances ( 1 THESSALONIANS 5:18)
C. PETITION / SUPPLICATION : petition is asking God to do or change something while supplication is earnestly asking God for assistance. This prayer is for special needs such as cleansing from sin, daily bread, accommodation etc, ( 1 Sam 1:9-20).
D. INTERCESSION : this is a prayer for other people, here, one stands in the gap for someone else, to plead on their behalf for forgiveness of sin, restoration from backsliding, spiritual strength etc ( Luke 22: 31,32).
E. AUTHORITATIVE PRAYER : This is the type of prayer in which we exercise our spiritual authority as given to us by God in his word ( Mathew 18:18). A way of doing it is using God - given Power to bind the forces of darkness and set their captive free.
F. PRAYER OF AGREEMENT : this is the prayer of two or more people coming together to agree with one another and with the word of God that something definite should be done. ( Mathew 17:8-13)
G. PRAYER OF FAITH : this involves praying fervently, consistently and perseveringly - according to the will of God until there is break through. Prayer of faith is rooted in our confidence in God's promise, power and faithfulness. Elijah prayed this prayer ( 1 king 18:1,41-44).

2. NEGLECT OF MERCY ( JAMES
2:13-17,MATHEW 7:2)
3. DISOBEDIENCE AND SELF WILL (
proverb 1:24-30,1 John 3:21-22.)
4. BEING UNTHANKFUL TO GOD ( 1 thess 5:8)
5. UNFORGIVING SPIRIT ( MATHEW 5:43-48,6:12,18:23-35)
6. DOUBT / LACK OF FAITH ( MATHEW 17:19,20.)
